Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Carlyze ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it's used, and your choices. Carlyze is developed by Lukas Stanko.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name (if shared), email address, and profile picture (Google only) to create and identify your account.
• Car and garage data. Details you enter about cars you're inspecting (make, model, mileage, fuel type, etc.), the analyses generated from them, notes you write, and the status you assign to saved cars in your Garage.
• Purchase information. If you buy a report unlock or an unlimited-access pass, Apple processes the payment directly — we never see or store your card details. We receive, via our payment provider RevenueCat, which product you purchased and when, so we can grant you the access you paid for.
• Usage events and analytics. Basic in-app actions (e.g. signing in, saving a car, updating a status, completing an analysis, viewing a report) tied to your account, used to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
• Device information. Device model, operating system version, app version, and your device's language/country settings.
• Feedback. If you respond to an in-app survey or rating prompt, we store your response (and, optionally, a written comment) along with relevant context about the report you were viewing.

How we use this information

We use the information above to operate and improve Carlyze: to authenticate you, sync your Garage and analyses across sessions, process purchases and unlock the content you paid for, understand which features are useful, and fix bugs. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising and attribution

We use Meta's (Facebook's) SDK to measure how effective our ads are at bringing new users to Carlyze. On iOS, this only links data across apps or websites if you grant permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt — if you decline, Meta only receives limited, non-linked information sufficient for aggregate ad-performance reporting. We do not sell your data to advertisers or share it with them for their own independent use.

Where data is stored

Your account and garage data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database). Purchase records are processed by RevenueCat and Apple. Analytics data is processed by Google (Firebase Analytics) and Meta. Each provider's own privacy and security practices apply to data on their infrastructure.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and garage data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us — see Contact below. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Children's privacy

Carlyze is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
